My Feathered Friend

Hello again, friends! I'm sharing another painting that I just finished last week. I used a  9 x 12 - 140 lb., Strathmore watercolor paper. I'm going to show you the rough sketch, then a couple shots of the what it looks like when I start the painting process. I sure wish I was savvy on technology, I would video my process. Maybe one of these days I'll work up the courage  gumption to try it!

I love all the layers it takes to achieve the effect I want.
Here's a shot of my painting before applying the background.
And here is the final painting! I hope you like it! I would love to see your comments below!
I will be linking this post with Jeanne's blog, "backyard neighbor" for Blue Monday. Please visit her and say hello as well as all the other bloggers who have linked with her post for Blue Monday.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Hi Sonya, First your finished painting is so sweet. The process from start to finish is so interesting. I have a cousin who is a very good artist and I know she spends many hours getting the look she wants. Your work is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your wonderful art with Blue Monday.

Hi Jeanne, Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet comment. I like taking photos of the process of the created piece. Sometimes it helps me see where I went wrong! Plus, it helps me to remember the steps I took to get to the finished product. Thanks again for hosting Blue Monday.
Hugs to you
