Rest In Peace My Beloved~

                    June 17, 1939-June 27, 20012

Dear friends,

A lot of you already have heard the news of the passing of the love of my life, Mel. But I wanted to share it here anyway.  He is no longer suffering and I am so thankful for that.  My heart is breaking but I am standing on the hope of seeing him again.

I wanted to thank my dear blog friends too, for the gifts of love that you have sent me in the mail. Rest assured I will be sharing them shortly here on this blog. Thank you so much, they mean the world to me. One was received on the day that Mel passed and the other the next-so they arrived at the perfect time. I won't ever forget the kindness and love that you have shown me. God bless you always for that.

I will be away from my blog for a little while longer as I need some time. I hope that you won't forget me and that when I do come back that I will hear from you all from time to time! I love you all.

Blessings and love,

More Love in the Mail...

Hello my dear friends. I just wanted to take a few minutes to share some sweet love in the mail that I received yesterday and today. God has a way of letting me know that I'm not alone in this valley. I received a beautiful card and tag made from my dear friend, Cindy from Blessings from Cindy. Please go visit her and tell her what a blessing SHE is. I took a pic of the envelope-I just showed the back of it, but isn't it gorgeous?
I wish I could paint like this. Love all the muted flowers and the colors...
 With touching words inside...
And this beautiful tag she made for me.
The back of it...I told you she was sweet. :)  Thank you, dear Cindy, I am touched by your words and talent. Blessings to you.
Then today-I open my mailbox and there is this package from my sweet friend, Katherine at Chatelet. I opened this box and...
It was absolutely FULL of different kinds of sweet chocolates! Oh yummmm!!
Yes, ALL of this was inside the package! I was speechless! My daughter and grandson were here when I opened the box and they were stunned! Deacon was picking what HE wanted right away. Heehee. Oh my goodness, Katherine, thank you SOOO much!  I will think of you, sweet friend with every delicious bite! :)

I continue to receive love both near a far from friends and family that I will never forget. It means more than you can ever know. Facing the hardest time in my life and it really helps knowing that you are there, my friends. It really does.

Mel is continuing to decline each week but continues to hold on to his faith in God that He will never leave him. We are receiving help from Hospice which has been a Godsend. They have been such a comfort and huge help to us.

I hope this post finds you all doing well and enjoying some summer sunshine. I think of you all often and miss you dearly.

Blessings and hugs to you,

A Surprise...

Hello friends. I went to check my mail yesterday and received quite a surprise. Dorthe from Den Lille Lade sent me a gift! Dorthe is such a sweet lady with a very giving heart. Go see her and get to know her if you haven't.

God has a way of letting me know that He's here for me. I was feeling pretty down and discouraged...and alone. And really, I know I'm not but because of this dark valley that I'm walking through, it's hard to see, you know? Then I go to check the mail and I find Dorthe's package! God knew-it was His way of telling me, "You're not alone, beloved". I just cried. Thank you sweet Dorthe and thank you Lord, for placing Dorthe and others like her in my life. My heart is full.

Here are of the photos of Dorthe's beautiful creations:

I love the images that Dorthe used in her art pieces. And the driftwood from her beach! :)

 Written on the back.

Thank you again, dear Dorthe. YOU are a blessing to me.

I hope this post finds all of you well and enjoying some sunny weather and good times. I appreciate all the kind comments and the encouraging words from all of you.
