My Grandbaby in a Jar~

Hello dear friends!  I purchased a tutorial from the sweet Dawn at Feathered Nest  quite a long time ago and I thought I would add my own touch to it. My Grandmotherly touch. Dawn provides the most adorable photo of a little baby girl but I thought, why not put my Deacon in my jar instead?
I just copied the picture in black and white and pinked up his cheeks a bit.
Rather than leave the lid plain I thought it would be cute to add some music paper inside the lid.
I think he looks pretty happy in my jar! :) Oh I miss him being this little!

Thank you for visiting today. I pray that you are all healthy and doing something fun!  And your comments are always appreciated!

Blessings to you today,

Hello Sonya:
You really do have the most imaginative ideas, and this is yet another in which Deacon is captured, in the nicest possible way, for all time in the jar. We think that it is a brilliant idea to line the lid with a piece of sheet music. Is it, we wonder, anything significant?

Sonja, your project is very well done!

I noticed on your profile that Arsenic and Old Lace is your favorite movie.....I love it, too...and my son loves it. We first watched it together when he was little, and I was amazed at how much he laughed at it!

One of my favorite old b&w movies, especially when I need a good cry, is Penny Serenade with Cary Grant.....has some funny parts but a real tearjerker. Have you seen it?

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog!

I loved the snow in Central Park. Yes, it was very cold but a wonderland for me. Now, the boat trip to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty a few days later was about the coldest I've ever been, and not nearly so much fun as traipsing through the snow in Central Park!

This is absolutely adorable Sonya! You've captured him at such a fun and precious age. My son-in-law created a soldered pyramid with his son's photo in it and surrounded him with curlieque ribbons and little hands. I'll one day post it on my blog.
For now, I thank you for sharing such a wonderful project, I love it.
Hugs to you.
