This was the outside of the package. She knows I love using embroidery pieces in my fabric collages, so she sent me this wonder piece with beads. Double click on all the photos and you can see them better. I love how she wrote my name in calligraphy.
Isn't it just beautiful? Peggy named this painting "Gentle". This photos just do not do this painting justice, I'm telling you. I love the colors she used and the lace. The texture of this painting is fabulous.
The title of this painting,"Gentle" comes from the scripture in 2Timothy 2:24. Paul is writing to Timothy and giving him advice about being kind and gentle, patiently and courteously explaining the Truth. Good teaching never promotes quarrels or foolish arguments. Here is the whole scripture of 2Timothy 2:24:
And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.
That's something easier said than done sometimes, isn't it? Because it's in our nature for us to be "right". And we want everyone else to feel that we're right too. So this painting IS a "gentle" reminder for me. :) Something that is still a work in progress. So very important to be gentle and kind with our words and actions. Especially when we are sharing the Truth.
Love the lace!
Thank you, friends for stopping by and for your sweet comments. For those of you who have been able to anyway! Blogger is still being a booger! I still have trouble with it too, but I'm not giving up! But if you don't have the patience and you really want to leave a comment-you can always email me too.
Have a wonderful weekend! We are going to have fabulous weather so I'm having a garage sale tomorrow and Saturday. Hopefully after that, I will get back into my craft room and do some ...some...crafting!
Hugs and love to you all,
