Happy New Year!

Hello everyone. Sorry I've been away for awhile. I am really sick so this will be short. I haven't even been playing in my craft room. Can you believe that? My Lupus is active and so it is really easy to catch bugs. I have a sinus and bad ear infection. So I will we away for a bit.
Just wanted to wish you all a very Happy New Year. If you are going out to celebrate tomorrow night, please be safe. I'm praying that our new year is a much better one for us all.
Blessings and love to you.

Merry CHRISTmas to You All!

May you all remember Jesus as you celebrate today and tomorrow. It isn't about the presents and food. As you receive and give gifts and eat all the goodies, please remember to give thanks to our Lord for all that He has given you. Especially, the greatest gift of all...Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We have so much to be thankful for. A lot of us have had a pretty hard year. But we have to focus on our blessings. Make sure you tell your loved ones that you love them. Appreciate every moment.

Tomorrow my family and I will celebrate Jesus' birth by singing Happy Birthday to Him. I usually make a cake and put a candle in it but my grandson asked me if we could make cupcakes. So we will have birthday cupcakes. :)

I've really enjoyed getting to know some of you bloggers. There are so many kindhearted , talented, generous women out there that I'm just so thankful for. I pray that you all have the merriest of Christmas' and your new year will be filled with many blessings.

I had to share this sweet little Christmas robin with you. I just want to pick him up and squeeeezzzee him!

God Bless you all dear friends!

A Card and Collage I Made for My Friend

I thought I would share what I made for my friend since she already got to open it! I made her this Christmas card out of a bingo card. She likes primitive, so I tried to oblige. :)
She loved this hanger so I hung the card on it. And stamped her name on the hanger. After taking this photo I decided I didn't like how her name turned out so I redid it. And of course, forgot to take another picture!

Notice what the words to the song on the music paper says? That's why I used the tree in the foreground. Have you ever seen a plaid tree before? Haha. The garland around the tree is from Sandy at Quill Cottage. I just love it.

I thought this photo of this little girl was so adorable. I wish I could remember where I got it.

Rosie loves rusty things and hearts, so I thought this fit the bill.

See the stick?

It says, "A friend loves at all times." And they should don't you think?
Thanks for dropping by and I am praying that you all have a wonderful Christmas. Don't forget to celebrate Jesus' birthday. I'm making Him a cake!:)
I appreciate all of you who visit. Remember to double click on the pictures to get a better view. And if you haven't signed up to as a follower yet, I would love to have you! And followers-there will be a giveaway coming soon! So stay tuned!
God bless you all~~

Angels and Something I Made

I've had these angels for years. I love their sparkly little dresses they are wearing. This photo of the angels and Christmas trees has nothing to do with the next two photos but I wanted to share them with you...

I got this idea from Dawn at "Feathered Nest". I used a silver plated tray instead. Well, because that's what I had...

This hangs in my craft room as a reminder to me. Of what I want to be . You can put any verse or poem or saying and I think it would be really cute. It's very simplistic but I think that's what makes it so attractive.
Only one week til Christmas! Are you ready?

Treasures From Glory Days~

I wanted to share what I bought at Glory Days. I have a thing for the bottle brush wreaths. Well, bottle brush anything actually.:) Be prepared there's quite a few pictures!
I love the color of this shiny teal garland.

I love the color of this tinsel stuff. Can't think of the name right now. But I've got several ideas floating around inside my head for this...stuff.

Isn't he cute? His antlers move! Kind of creepy. But I liked him anyway.

I loved the pattern on this dish! I'll make something with this!

Aren't the little hearts adorable on this?

I thought these little girls were kind of comical. The one on the right looks scared doesn't she? Maybe she just saw Santa come down the chimney and she can't believe her eyes! The puppy looks pretty frightened too. :)

I have a soft spot for snowmen too. Especially chubby faced ones like these.

Some more snowmen. :) I told you...

This is Samson and Delilah.

A little baggie of goodies. I think the ballerina was happy to be let out of the bag!

I love the material they used for this flower. And I like the color too.

Of course, I love this one too!

We can never have too many pearl buttons, can we?

What do think about these for place cards for the dinner table? They are heavy too.

Here's a back view of these. I think they will be fun to alter.

Here's some sparkles that I'll use for something...

Reflectors...I wish they were colored but these will do... for now.:)

I told you I have a thing for bottle brush wreaths. Maybe next year I will do a tree with nothing but wreaths! Would that be weird?
I'm so glad you stopped by. I hope you've been thinking about what you would like to see in my giveaway. Some of you have let me know. Which I do appreciate! So please, don't be shy!
If you're not a follower yet...please join us. I would love to hear from all of you! Praying that you all have a very Merry Christmas.

Tussie Mussie

Remember these from my shopping trip last month with my daughter? Well, I finally used one for something...
I call it a tussie mussie. I hope that's the right spelling for it. I found in a magazine just this morning, some Christmas-y looking ones and they called them candy cornets. My tussie doesn't have candy in it, so it's a tussie mussie.

I guess I could have put chocolate eggs inside, instead of these. :) Then someone would eat them. Then what would I do?

I thought this heart pin was so cute. I tried really hard to pick up the sparkle in the stones in my photos. This is the best I can do. (I need a new camera):)

I thought these thingies added a pretty sparkle too.

It was really fun trying to figure out how I was going to hang this prism in the opening in the bottom!

Of course, I needed to add a key to go with the heart!

Well, that's it! Click on the pics for a closer view, if you want.
Oh yeah, I found out something else while looking at this magazine. You know that wooden lady in my last post. I didn't know what to call her. Or really what she is for? The mag said that they are called carved wooden Santos figures. It is an 18th century style figure. Originally created in the Middle Ages as ceremonial parade figures. Later they used them as fashion mannequins. Whatever they are, I would love one in my craft room. Just to look at.:)
Thanks for visiting friends.

Glory Days!!

My friend, Rosie and I went on a shopping trip to Springfield today. I took over a 100 pictures of a couple places that we go to. Don't worry I'm not going to show you all of them! I wish you all could have went with me. You would have loved it! I'll take some pictures tomorrow of the treasures I bought. Don't you just love this wreath with all the vintage yummies on it? I wanted this! Why didn't I buy it? This place is called Glory Days. And it is HUGE! We were in there over 3 hours and you know what? We didn't even see everything! I forgot to go upstairs and look around! The place is so over-stimulating that you just can't take it all in. It just makes your heart pound so fast! We didn't eat lunch til 2:00. So we just had to leave. But I want to go back...soon. :)
See the cabinet? I want this for my craft room! Look at the next two pictures. It's the side and backside view of it. Then you will see why I wanted this!

Yes, that black thing is the side view of the cabinet. Just wait and look on the other side...

See. I told you. Pretty cool. I could store all kinds of things in this thing!

Another neat storage shelf. There were a lot of pictures that didn't turn out of course, typical blurry mess. Did I tell you I want a new camera?

I love that red pillow.

Isn't he the cutest snowman? He's about 16 inches tall and very heavy. I wanted him too. :)

Look at this lady! I wanted her to come home with me too! :) Pearls and all.

I love her too! What is she called? Is there a name for her? She was very spendy.
This clock is huge. Wouldn't need your glasses see the time on this one, would you?

I had to show you another shot of the lady and clock face. I love both of them!

What do you think about this rooster? See what he's stepping on? It's an ear of corn! He was so cool looking with the moss and lichen on top of him. He was a pretty penny too. And Sooo heavy!
I will show you more pictures another time. More of this antique mall and another store called Cedar, Sage and Roses. You'll love that one too. If you are ever in Oregon, you need to visit these two stores! You won't be sorry.
I thought I'd let you know that I've got just 20 more postings to go and it will be my 100th already! It will be here before you know it. So I'm letting you know a little early because I will be having a giveaway. And I want your input. What would you like to win? It has to be something I made. No, not my wooden horse! ;) Sorry. I love him/her. I couldn't part with him. So please let me know soon. And it's going to be a giveaway for my followers. So if you're not a follower yet, hop on board! You just might win! I've loved meeting all my followers and others that have left sweet comments. I would love to meet others that visit too that are just too shy. I've had so much fun with my blog and I want to show my appreciation to all of you. Thank you so much for the blog love. God bless you all.
