Pioneer Woman Inspired Painting

I LOVE Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummonds recipes, her show and her kitchenware line. And I heard a rumor that she is starting a bedding line as well!!! Yay!!! BUT....what about artwork??? Something pretty to hang on the wall in your dining/kitchen. SO! I made my own.  So fun! I shared this on a couple of the Pioneer Woman Facebook groups and I shared it will Ree Drummond. I was floored when I received over 1300 likes/loves/wows!! And many asked if they could buy one. I was pretty excited about that! Until I told them what shipping would cost. LOL! Stupid shipping I know why we are called starving artists!! Well she is:

Thanks for visiting today and I would love to hear from you. I do answer every comment.
Stay tuned, I'll be sharing something else I've been up to.

Teach Me Your Ways, Lord

A sketch in my 6 x 8 journal. I used watercolors, Faber-Castell Pitt pens, and ink.

"Show me Your ways, O Lord, teach me
Your paths; guide me in Your truth and
teach me, for You are my Savior, and
my hope is in You all day long."
Psalm 25:4-5

In Psalm 25, David desired guidance from the Lord. That's my desire too! How do we receive God's guidance? The first step is to WANT to be guided and realize that God's primary guidance system is in His Word, the Bible. Psalm 119 tells us of the endless knowledge found in God's Word. By reading and constantly learning from it, we will gain wisdom to perceive God's direction for our lives. Sometimes we can grow impatient with the Lord because we don't get answers right away. And sometimes when we do, it isn't the answer we wanted (I'm guilty of this). But we must believe that God knows what is best. He is "ALL KNOWING". Spending time in His Word will not only give us guidance,  we will also get to know who the Lord is. We will have a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him. I want that, do you?

Thank you for stopping by. I love comments from you! Have a God-filled day!

Seeing the Lord and listening to the praise of the angels, Isaiah knew that he was unclean (sinner) before God, with no hope of measuring up to God's standards of holiness. When Isaiah's lips were touched with a live burning coal, however, he was told that his sins were forgiven (before God sent His Son to die for our sins). It wasn't the coal that cleansed him, but God. Isaiah responded by submitting himself entirely to God's service. No matter how difficult his task would be, he said, "Here I am. Send me!" He had to be cleansed before he could fulfill the tasks that he was called to do. Before we accept God's call to speak to those around us, we must be cleansed as Isaiah was. Not by a hot coal to our mouths! But by confessing our sins and submitting to God's control. Asking Jesus in our hearts. Letting God purify us may be painful, but we must be purified so we can truly represent God, who is pure and holy. The more clearly Isaiah saw God, the more he was aware of his own powerlessness and inadequacy to do anything of lasting value without God. When God calls, we have to ask ourselves, would we be able to say, "Here I am. Send me!"?

This page was done in my Interleave Bible, where every other page is blank! So not painting, drawing or writing on the scriptures. I love that! I found this idea on Pinterest, but mine is a little different. I used acrylics, Pastels, and ink.

Thank you for dropping by and may God bless. I would love to hear from you!

Love One Another

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this, all people will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.” John 13:34&35

That was Jesus' commandment that He gave while speaking to His disciples. He said love, as I have loved you.  How does Jesus love?
1)  He loves unconditionally (Romans 5:8)
2)  Sacrificially (2 Cor. 5:21)
3)  With forgiveness (Eph. 4:32)
4)  Eternally  (Romans 8:38-39)

Jesus' love is holy (spiritually pure).  The culmination of Jesus' amazing love for us is in His death on the cross, burial, and bodily resurrection (1 John 4:9-10). Believers are to love each other like that. HOW can we love like Christ?  HOW is that possible? The believer in Christ has the Holy Spirit living within him (1 Cor. 6:19-20).  By obeying the Spirit, through the Word of God, the believer can love as Christ loves.  Not just friends, family members etc... but even enemies! What??!!! Ugh!! How on earth? Well, we can't do it on our own!  In order to love like Christ, there must be a change of heart.  We must realize that we are sinners before God, understand that Christ died on the cross and rose again to provide forgiveness and make Christ our personal Savior.  At that point, we are forgiven through Christ and receive God's gift of eternal life.
To love one another is to love fellow believers as Christ loves us. Those who love like Christ in the Holy Spirit's power will give evidence that they are His disciples. GOD gives us the strength and ability to love others (Phil. 4:13).
So, my friends, THIS is what I'm working on....that God will change MY heart. Why? Because I want to please Him and obey His commandments. AND because He LOVES me! And He loves YOU too.

Thanks for stopping by. Would love to hear from you!

Grace and peace to you,
